Adamawa Health Supplies Management Agency Delivers One Truck of Drugs and Medical Supplies

The Adamawa State Health Supplies Management Agency (ADSHSUMA) has successfully procured and delivered a full truckload of essential drugs and medical supplies to strengthen healthcare service delivery across the state.

The consignment, which arrived at the Agency’s Central warehouse in Yola, contains a wide range of essential medicines, medical consumables, and other vital health commodities meant to support uninterrupted service delivery. The supplies are available for both public and private health facilities across the state to purchase directly from the Agency.

Speaking during the delivery, the Executive Secretary of the agency Pharmacist Dauda Teri Kwaghe noted that the procurement was part of the Adamawa State Government’s ongoing commitment to improving the health supply chain under the supervision of the Ministry of Health and Human Services. He emphasized that the Agency remains focused on ensuring quality, affordability, and equitable access to medical commodities across all levels of healthcare delivery.

Also speaking, the Director of Supply Chain Operations, Pharmacist Felix Unduru Balthti, commended the state government for its continuous investment in the health sector. He explained that the newly delivered drugs and medical supplies were carefully sourced from verified manufacturers and suppliers to guarantee quality and efficacy.
Pharmacist Balthti further stated that the Agency has strengthened its warehousing and distribution systems to ensure that all facilities both public and private can access the needed commodities without delay. He urged health facility managers to take advantage of the Agency’s transparent procurement process to stock their facilities with quality-assured medicines.

He reaffirmed that the Agency will continue to uphold the highest standards in logistics management, accountability, and transparency in line with global best practices.
